I sit here and watch the transfer of photos from the borrowed Nikon D70, and
all I can think is: "Wow, that was an amazing fucking night!" The day started
off so crappy, and then built into an amazing night. I met up with Nikki [link]
this afternoon (01/28/2009) to do photos with her, her boyfriend Beau, and
her kids to do some photos for my RED2010 project. She invited me to the
new Extreme Sports bar in the Grand Sierra Resort to watch Beau's band
AudioBoxx. I was excited, not just because she was going to let me borrow her
Nikon, but because I was going to get to hang out with an awesome person,
listen to awesome music, and do my first live show shoot! It was amazing!
Thanks to Nikki, I made some awesome contacts! I met Freddie, the new VP of
the club, and Nikki got me into the VIP area and backstage so I could get
shots of Beau while he played the drums. He's an amazing drummer! The whole

I WILL be going back next week to do some more shots. It's amazing what a
few hours of loud music and good company can do for my depression. I'm
smiling... my love was smiling on the phone because she could hear how happy
and how much fun I was having. I have good friends... and I can't wait to make
more art!
